We’re going to hold a one-day conference at Sheffield Hallam University on Saturday 14th June 2014, entitled ‘Culture Wars 1900-1950’.
We will be asking: What was meant by ‘culture’ in the period 1900-1950? Whose culture was it and did all walks of life have a culture? How was culture contested?
